5,000 children (2-5 years old) in low-income neighborhoods of Lima, 250 teachers/entertainers and 10,000 parents.

Project goals and expected impact:
Research has demonstrated that a low-cost and effective way to improve education standards is by means of early intervention and stimulating young children developing their skills through interactions with their environment. This project aims to complement early childhood education programs by promoting child development through comprehensive learning opportunities and individual case management. The "Interactive Bus", equipped with appropriate pedagogical materials to promote early childhood development, plans to visit public education centers in urban shanty towns in Lima. By training their teachers, involving parents in the child' learning process and implementing activities for children to learn from their own experiences, the project has an integral approach to early childhood education.
