Project beneficiaries:
At risk children, pregnant women, young adults and senior citizens of the low income neighborhood of "Fundo Pando IX" section, San Miguel, Lima-Peru.
 
Project goals and expected impact:
Complete the infrastructure and facilities of the "Emilia Barcia Boniffatti" Elementary School, in order to implement the "CIVE" Program. This program has a strong emphasis on environmental education, allowing children to experiment with their environment through the direct management of a small farm learning horticulture, hidroponía crops, small animal raising and recycling practices. The School is also open to the community so members can participate in the education process, providing young adults, women and senior citizens with activities allowing them to acquire better social and management skills. The facilities within the school include: community kitchen, community library, daycare center for children of working mothers, community playground and a small farm.
