WHO WE ARE
SUCEDE is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes and facilitates social in to South America, especially in Perú, in order to support the region's sustainable development.
We believe in social investment instead of charity, because in order to foster social change we have to support social entrepreneurs whose innovative ideas bring about tangible, meaningful and sustainable solutions for pressing social problems.
SUCEDE connects donors and grantees guided by the same values and principles of equal access to opportunities, human dignity, respect for the environment and transparency and accountability in their work.

Carolina Llosa
Executive Director
SUCEDE is an initiative of Peruvian-born social entrepreneur Carolina Llosa. Holding a Master Degree in Social Policy in Developing Countries awarded by the London School of Economics in 2002, Carolina Llosa established in Miami, FL, where she realized that the best way to support social development in Latin America was by building bridges between the funding opportunities in USA and the greatest needs in South America. In August, 2003, AVINA Foundation recognized Llosa as a Social Leader and backed her initiative: SUCEDE. Carolina Llosa has worked both in the Public and Private Sector of Peru and has been widely exposed to social, economic and political context in South American countries.
Carolina Raaijen
Director
Carolina has more than 10 years of experience in the areas of marketing and business development. As director of marketing at BiTime, a developer and operator of loyalty and consumer retention programs, she was responsible for the implementation of incentive programs for multinational companies like Fedex, Kraft, Microsoft among others. Before that, she worked at The Walt Disney Company in the marketing department developing and implementing strategies to grow the presence of Disney consumer products in the Latin American market. She also worked as a consultant in the Small Business Development Center at Wharton assisting entrepreneurs develop business plans, marketing strategies and financial projections for their businesses. She holds an Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master Degree in Business Administration from University of Miami.
Carlos E. Landazabal
Director
Carlos E. Landazabal Angeli has more than 20 years of experience in managing legal, business, and managerial affairs. He served as General Counsel to several multinationals such as Baker Hughes, Kimberly Clark, General Electric and Bureau Veritas, where he provided legal direction and support for operations in the company’s $1B Andean, Central America, and Caribbean region. He previously served as an Associate at James & Asociados, a law firm with a prestigious portfolio of petroleum clients. Carlos played a key role in the firm’s international growth by launching its Compliance and Corporate Affairs operations and advising multinational clients in Latin America on these areas.
Carlos has an LLM from Northwestern University, Chicago, a M.S. in Commercial Law and a J.D. from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello, MBA from IE Business School, Madrid.
Fátima de Romaña
Director
Lawyer with more than 22 years of experience in Banking and Finance, Capital Markets and Corporation Law.
Fátima is a Partner at Lazo & De Romaña Abogados since 2008. She has worked for Grimaldo & Lazo Abogados (2005-2008), Banco Wiese Sudameris (now Scotiabank Peru) as Comercial Banking Legal Manager (2005-1999), and Banco de Lima Sudameris at the Legal Department of Capital Markets (1999-1998).
Fátima is a Lawyer educated at Universidad de Lima and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA), Senior Executive MBA from Universidad de Piura. Extensive experience in a wide range of corporate, financial and capital market transactions; focused on financings, issuance of bonds, investment funds, financial and banking regulation, corporate and M&A.

Sharpened on designing strategies and optimizing execution in the intersection, of business development and M&A, innovation and technology as well as governance and culture.
Currently focused in helping shape the future of incumbent organizations by inspiring mindset change, leadership alignment and orchestrating corporate transformation to thrive in the disruptive and exponential global digital economy.
