SUCEDE is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes and facilitates social in to South America, especially in Perú,  in order to support the region's sustainable development.

 We believe in social investment instead of charity, because in order to foster social change we have to support social entrepreneurs whose innovative ideas bring about tangible, meaningful and sustainable solutions for pressing social problems.

SUCEDE connects donors and grantees guided by the same values and principles of equal access to opportunities, human dignity, respect for the environment and transparency and accountability in their work. 


SUCEDE is an initiative of Peruvian-born social entrepreneur Carolina Llosa. Holding a Master Degree in Social Policy in Developing Countries awarded by the London School of Economics in 2002, Carolina Llosa established in Miami, FL, where she realized that the best way to support social development in Latin America was by building bridges between the funding opportunities in USA and the greatest needs in South America. In August, 2003, AVINA Foundation recognized Llosa as a Social Leader and backed her initiative: SUCEDE. Carolina Llosa has worked both in the Public and Private Sector of Peru and has been widely exposed to social, economic and political context in South American countries.

Carolina Llosa

Carolina has more than 10 years of experience in the areas of marketing and business development. As director of marketing at BiTime, a developer and operator of loyalty and consumer retention programs, she was responsible for the implementation of incentive programs for multinational companies like Fedex, Kraft, Microsoft among others. Before that, she worked at The Walt Disney Company in the marketing department developing and implementing strategies to grow the presence of Disney consumer products in the Latin American market. She also worked as a consultant in the Small Business Development Center at Wharton assisting entrepreneurs develop business plans, marketing strategies and financial projections for their businesses.  She holds an Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master Degree in Business Administration from University of Miami.


Carolina Raaijen

Alfredo Llosa has worked in senior executive positions in the banking industry for over 20 years in Peru and has also offered his financial expertise to multilateral organizations such as Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) and public institutions such a COFIDE. He is currently the President of Sociedad Electrica del Sur Oeste (SEAL), a public-private gas distribution company in Peru, and serves in the Board of Directors of MiBanco and Acción Comunitaria , two leading micro credit institutions for small entrepreneurs in Peru. Alfredo holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Latin American Studies from Georgetown University.


Alfredo Llosa

With More than two decades of experience working in the financial industry, Maria Pia Leon (Pia) strongly believes in helping her clients to understand the relationship between their financial and family decisions, and helping them to navigate the opportunities and challenges associated with a life with wealth. She believes the real problems with families of wealth, in the long run, are related to the human factor: From parenting to communication issues, from family governance to generating a legacy, from generational succession to preparing new board members. This fear needs to be addressed to keep a healthy family dinamic in place.

She has 11 years of experience in the Family Office Industry (Genspring And AMGlobal) and a 18-year carrer in baking (Standard Chartered and Citibank). Pia holds an MA in international Politics from University of Miami, (North South Center Scholarship), A BA in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Peru), and a postgraduate degree in Family Systems Theory at The Bowen Center (Georgetown University). She is a certified coach by the University of Miami and continues to study family systems through online programs at the Tavistock Portman Institute.

She believes personal finances affect many aspects of our lives: personal, professional, spiritual and emotional. Knowing that personal finance education is a great social, generational, and gender equalizer;  she created the blog My Finance Bliss. Targeting women, the blog aims for the democratization of finamcial literacy and consequently, women empowering.

Besides financial education her pilanthropic interests and in urban planning, she is a "friend" of the Underlinle Project in Miami, FL.


María Pia Leon

An Influential business leader with 25 years serving in C-Level and Board Member positions in principal multinational corporations, focused on sustainable growth and building company value. Sharpened on designing strategies and optimizing execution in the intersection, of business development and M&A, innovation and technology as well as governance and culture.

Currently focused in helping shape the future of incumbent organizations by inspiring mindset change, leadership alignment and orchestrating corporate transformation to thrive in the disruptive and exponential global digital economy.

He a is now a Partner and Director at #LeadingDigital, UTEC's plataform for corporate transformation and Lat AM Executive Director at Executive Forums, a 1, 000+ regional network of CEO's for personal growth and professional evolution. Also serves on boards of directors, mentors and invests in multimedia, technological, cultural transformation and talent management scalable companies.
